PTI’s Haleem Adil’s driver found shot dead near Superhighway, police investigate possible motive

Killed

A man identified as Shah Nawaz Mallah, 45, was discovered dead from gunshot wounds on the outskirts of the city on Wednesday morning, according to local police. The body was found in a bushy area near Chakar Hotel off the Superhighway.

Mallah, a driver for Haleem Adil Sheikh, the provincial president of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), had been abducted from his home in Marri Goth by unidentified individuals who took him away in a car. His body was later found with gunshot wounds to the chest and hand.

The SITE-Superhighway Industrial Area Station House Officer (SHO), Shahzad Ilyas, confirmed that while Mallah’s licensed pistol was taken, other valuables were left untouched, ruling out robbery as a motive. The family has also indicated that Mallah had no known enemies.

However, police investigations suggest a possible link to a recent quarrel over a property issue, which may provide clues about the identity and motive of the killers. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to uncover further details.
