NAROWAL: A man allegedly killed his wife with the help of his mother after learning that she was due to give birth to a baby girl. The deceased, identified as Ishrat Bibi, was tortured by in-laws because she had given birth to two daughters previously.
According to her brother, the in-laws had made her abort two times previously as well on suspicions of bearing baby girls.
He said that she often complained about her husband, Imran Saleem, taunting and torturing her over giving birth to baby girls.
Ishrat’s dead body was shifted to THQ hospital, where the authorities handed the body to the family after post-mortem. According to DSP Malik Mohammad Khalil, a case has been registered and further investigation is under process.
