Karachi police announce 10-year imprisonment for aerial firing on New Year’s Eve

KARACHI: Special warnings are being circulated by the Karachi police ahead of New Year’s eve. No firing would not be allowed to celebrate the occasion and anyone who did so would face strict consequences.

Police said that a special monitoring team had been formed to look after the situation, adding anyone found involved in aerial firing would be charged with an attempt to murder case.

The police spokesperson also said that a non-bailable warrant would be issued and the accused could get jailed for up to 10 years.

Police have also urged the citizens to report all cases of aerial firing.
