LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: The speculations of a rift among the Pakistan Muslim League-Q circles were put to rest by the party leadership here on Tuesday after Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain denied all such allegations in a statement posted on Twitter by his nephew Moonis Elahi.
Shujaat has categorically stated that all party decisions were taken after consulting him and with his consent. He vehemently opposed the idea of a rift between the family circles of the PML-Q leadership. “There is absolutely no truth whatsoever in such allegations,” read the statement issued by Shujaat.
PML-Q has decided to support Prime Minister Imran Khan at the vote of no-confidence after the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf announced to nominate Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi as its next candidate for the powerful post of Chief Minister Punjab. It is pertinent to mention here that Tariq Bashir Cheema, a veteran PML-Q politician, has decided to support the opposition at the no-confidence voting.
