PML-N chides PM Imran for bringing bad name to country

Marriyum Aurangzeb

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) launched into tirade against Prime Minister Imran Khan for allegedly defaming the country at a time when foreign dignitaries were present here to attend the all important meeting of the Organisation of Islamic Conference to discuss the issues of Afghanistan.

Referring to the prime minister’s interview with Al Jazeera on Friday, PML-N’s information secretary and MNA Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the prime minister seemed to be suffering from “Sharif family phobia”, and instead of talking about his government’s achievements, he kept talking about Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif.

Referring to the ever-soaring inflation, Aurangzeb said that the prime minister should step down if he really wanted to provide relief to the masses.

PM Khan had earlier blamed the PML-N and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) governments for the poor economic condition of the country, stating that the two parties misused the government funds, state resources and were involved in corruption.

Aurangzeb said that prime minister did not know any better than persecuting his political opponents and said that he lacked the ‘mental capacity’ to understand the weight that his words carried at a time when the world leaders were present in Pakistan.
