Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has contracted Covid-19, confirmed the Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb in a tweet. The prime minister had been unwell for the last couple of days which is what prompted him to extend his stay in London by two days.
According to Aurangzeb, the premier was tested for Covid-19 earlier today on the recommendation of the doctors. She has appealed to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz workers and the nation to pray for the speedy recovery of Mr Sharif.

This is the third time that Mr Sharif has contracted the Covid-19.
