PM Shehbaz Sharif calls for revolutionary surgical strike

Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif said that the tenure of the incumbent government will end in the next few days and efforts are being made to create a caretaker setup acceptable to all, however, a revolutionary surgical operation has to be initiated for the betterment of the economy. PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed these views in the sumptuous dinner, organised in honour of the Members of Parliament.

During his address at the ceremony, Shehbaz Sharif said that they took over the government at a difficult time when there were rumours everywhere that country was on the verge of bankruptcy. He believed that despite criticism in 15 months their government saved the state and pulled the country out of the vortex by sacrificing politics.

While criticising PTI, PM Shehbaz Sharif said that we had to deal with issues planted by the PTI government. He claimed that the stubbornness of Chairman PTI had destroyed every institution, and his coalition government overcame all the difficulties. He said that there were risks of default during the PTI government, and they have overcome the obstacles, including the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

He indicated the dissolution of the assemblies on August 9 and said that all parties would be consulted for the caretaker prime minister, including the opposition leader.

Shehbaz Sharif also met with the parliamentary leaders before the dinner, in which the political situation of the country was discussed and consultations were held in the name of the caretaker prime minister.
