ISLAMABAD: According to several reports, ensuring peace with India will be one of the key points of the national security policy which will be disclosed on Friday. The policy focusses on economic diplomacy and peace with India in alignment with the foreign policy of Pakistan.
The policy would talk about developing business ties with immediate neighbours. An official briefed that the new policy aims for a more peaceful sub-continent. Through dialogue, there is a possibility that commercial activities will be normalised as has happened in the past, added the official.
Pakistan and India have been at daggers drawn since the latter disrupted the disputed territory status of Jammu Kashmir in August 2019. Pakistan had suspended trade relations and diplomatic ties with India.
