Pakistan reports more than 600 positive Covid cases

ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has tweeted the latest Covid-19 numbers during the last 24 hours in the country. The positive cases continue to surge as 630 people tested positive across Pakistan. The health authorities conducted 44,198 tests during the said period.

The test positivity ratio stood at 1.42 per cent. Two patients lost their lives while battling the virus. 641 people are still under critical care. Meanwhile, the new Omicron variant has started to spread in Karachi.

According to the Sindh Health Department, 101 positive cases have been reported in the province capital so far. District South reported the most number of cases with 39 followed by East district with 23 cases.
