Negative PCR test not mandatory for fully vaccinated people travelling to Pakistan: NCOC

ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) took to Twitter on Wednesday morning to announce that it had abolished the mandatory requirement of a negative PCR test upon travelling to Pakistan.

According to a notification issued by the NCOC, the new health/testing protocols will be in effect from February 24. The Pakistani government has announced that only non-vaccinated individuals over 12 years of age will be required to submit the negative PCR test reports 72 hours prior to arrival.

The notification also read that children aged below 12 will be exempted from the negative PCR test requirement even if they are not vaccinated. However, children aged between 12-18 will be allowed to travel without vaccination till March 31, 2022.
