Neeva, a private & ad-free search engine, has announced to shut down its operations by June 2023. The platform was co-founded by a former executive of Google. When it came into the limelight after its foundation, the platform was said to be a potential competitor for Google. However, multiple challenges did not allow Neeva to grow.
According to its co-founders Ramaswamy & Vivek Raghunathan, the journey to building the platform had tough challenges. They added that in comparison to a resourceful team of Google, Neeva only had 50 workers. The duo said that building the search engine proved to be hard, and extracting regular users became harder.

Neeva had the challenges like elevating the cost to acquire users, disrupt in the economic situation, and the advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Large Language Models (LLMS). The subscribers of Premium pack will get their money refunded. All the user data will also be deleted. The platform will shift its resources to LLMS and AI-related opportunities.
