ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan suggested on Thursday that the former convicted prime minister Nawaz Sharif will only return to country once he has negotiated a “secret deal”.
When Mr Khan was asked about Sharif’s return to the country, he said that he had been hearing about his return any day for a long time, adding that the same used to be said about him when he was in Saudi Arabia.
Mr Khan did not shy away from criticising the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif, stating that his speech sounded more like job applications.
He also took the opportunity to ‘dispel the notion’ that the government was under any threat by the opposition. He said: “Our government is managing its affairs in an efficient manner. We are not under any threat.”
