National Health Card scheme launched in Bahawalpur by PM Imran

BAHAWALPUR: Prime Minister Imran Khan launched the National Health Card scheme here on Tuesday as part of the Naya Pakistan initiative.

The programme will serve 10.5 million citizens of the Bahawalpur Division including Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan. A total of 63 per cent of households in Punjab will benefit from the programme.

Mr Khan, during his address at the ceremony, said that Sehat Card, Kamyab Jawan Programme and Ehsaas project are the initiatives of the PTI government in alignment with its welfare state vision. He added that the South Punjab Secretariat would be inaugurated on his next visit to the region.

The National Health Card scheme has been launched in multiple regions including Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, Tharparkar, Islamabad, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
