NA session including no-confidence motion to begin today

ISLAMABAD: After a two-day gap, the National Assembly (NA) session, including the no-confidence motion by Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), will commence today. The session will begin at 4:00pm.
Earlier on Friday, the NA session was adjourned after reciting Fateha for the deceased MNA Khayal Zaman.

Regarding the voting on the no-confidence motion, Minister for Interior Affairs Sheikh Rashid has announced the date of April 4, 2022. Meanwhile, the opposition indicated to protest in NA premises on delaying the motion by Speaker Asad Qaiser.

Recently, Jamhoori Watan Party announced to part ways with the federal government. The joint-opposition now has 163 MNAs in their support. Balochistan Awami Party, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan, and Pakistan Muslim League-Q have not yet decided on voting against or in favour of the no-confidence motion.
