KARACHI: The rare brain-eating organism, Naegleria fowleri, has claimed another victim’s life here. The deceased was a 28-year-old man, who resided in DHA Phase IV and worked in the engineering sector. He passed away at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).
According to the details, the victim came to the hospital with symptoms like mental confusion, headache, and fever. He was put on a ventilator but eventually lost the battle.
This year, six people have died of Naegleria.
