ISLAMABAD: National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser has called an in-camera Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) meeting on November 8 here on Wednesday . The meeting has been called wherein the military leadership will brief the lawmakers on matters pertaining to security.
The meeting is scheduled to be held at sharp 11am at the National Assembly’s main hall. It is reported that more than 80 invitations have already been sent to the top civil leadership. The Upcut understands that the civil leadership will raise questions about the recently signed agreement between the proscribed Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan and the government.
The leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is likely to attend the meeting whereas the Opposition leaders Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) are yet to make a decision regarding the meeting. This will be third such meeting this year with the last meeting held in September soon after the Taliban took over the reins of Afghanistan.
