ISLAMABAD: The mother of the primary suspect Shahnawaz Amir has been arrested outside the district and sessions court here in the Sarah Inam murder case after her pre-arrest bail was rejected.
Sameena Shah, the wife of the journalist Ayaz Amir and mother of Shahnawaz Amir, had been granted an interim bail last month after her son allegedly killed his wife at a farmhouse in Islamabad. The police had subsequently issued the arrest warrants for the parents of the suspect shortly after arresting him.
While Ayaz Amir has been cleared by the court, Shah remains a suspect in the case.
