Millions of worth smuggled items seized by Customs in Islamabad and Lahore

Customs’ officers at the Islamabad International Airport and Allama Iqbal International Airport have foiled smuggling attempts and seized items worth millions of rupees. In Islamabad, Customs captured 73 cell phones from a foreign passenger travelling to Islamabad from Qatar. The cellular phones were worth Rs10 million.

Similarly, in Lahore, the Customs found smuggling goods of Rs8 million from a passenger travelling from the United States. The deputy collector briefed that they found 290 shirts, more than 120 lotions, 126 cosmetic powders, and 54 perfumes.
