Police halts last riots of Aamir Liaquat; demands autopsy before burial

KARACHI: On Friday, police officials stopped the burial of popular TV host and politician Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain. The police have demanded to perform the autopsy first and stated that it’s important to find out the reason for death. Hussain was found unconscious in his house yesterday and passed away on his way to hospital.

Police have stopped the morgue from handing over the dead body to anyone and said that they would take legal action if the directives weren’t followed. Earlier, the son and daughter of the deceased had decided to not opt for autopsy.

Hussain’s ex-wife Syeda Bushra conveyed on social media that the funeral prayer would take place after Jumma at Jama Masjid Abdullah Shah Ghazi, Clifton. She added that the dead body would be buried in the Abdullah Shah Ghazi shrine.
