Jamhoori Watan Party announces to support PDM

ISLAMABAD: Amid the no-confidence motion, the government alliances have slowly started to reveal their decisions. Earlier today, the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf coalition partner from Balochistan, Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP), has announced to part ways with the government.

MNA Shahzain Bugti and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari did a joint press conference where the JWP chief announced his resignation from the federal cabinet. The Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Balochistan Affairs Bugti said people of Balochistan have been hurt by the sitting government, and he would stand by Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).

On the other hand, Chairman Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) Khalid Magsi said they would announce their decision by tomorrow whether to support the government or PDM and were currently working on the wait and watch policy.

Meanwhile, Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry said that Asad Umar would meet the JWP chairman tomorrow. He added that Bugti would rejoin the federal government. According to Chaudhary, four people have returned to the government of the 12 disgruntled MNAs.
