IHC orders release of Asad Umar

The Islamabad High Court ordered the release of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf leader and former federal minister Asad Umar. Islamabad High Court Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb heard the petition against the arrest of the PTI leader.

IHC also directed PTI leader to submit an affidavit. Justice Mian Gul Hasan commented that the political career of Asad Umar would be in crisis if the affidavit is violated. The court also ordered him to delete his Tweets as well.

News reports claim, during the hearing, Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb commented that the release of Asad Umar would have to hold a press conference after the release. However, Babar Awan turned down the condition. The judge also said that he does not know what would happen next after he issues the order for Asad Umar’s release.

Note that after the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, the angry workers of PTI staged a violent protest and carried out attacks, vandalism and arson on military and private properties.
