Imran’s life in danger, says IHC chief justice

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court chief justice Aamer Farooq has revealed that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chief Imran Khan’s life is in danger after reviewing the reports by intelligence. He reiterated that the government and the state were responsible for investigating the matter.

The comments were made by him after a report was submitted in the court while hearing the inconvenience petition filed against the PTI long march. Justice Farooq said that all citizens, political, non-political, and entities were entitled to protests but rights of citizens must not be violated at any cost.

It is pertinent to mention here that Khan has already had one failed attack against him in Wazirabad earlier this month. While he sustained some minor injuries, the attack raised questions of the state’s inability to provide adequate security to former prime minister.
