Imran raises questions on judiciary’s decision of opening courts midnight on April 9

PESHAWAR: A visibly charged and agitated Imran Khan questioned the judiciary’s decision of opening the courts midnight on April 9, the day he was shown the door after losing the vote of no-confidence. He was addressing a large public rally here on Wednesday.

It is pertinent to mention here that the Supreme Court and Islamabad High Court had opened their doors midnight last Saturday after the National Assembly session was adjourned time and again at one pretense or the other. Earlier, the apex court had ordered the National Assembly to ensure that the voting was held on April 9.

Khan while speaking at the rally said that he had always stood by the judiciary in its times of need and even went to jail during the infamous lawyer movement in 2007. He asked of the judiciary as to why it opened its doors midnight. “Have I ever broken any law?” asked an angry Khan.
