KARACHI: On Monday, the Inspector General (IG) of Sindh Police, Dr Kamran Fazal, was issued a show-cause notice by the Sindh High Court on failure to recover Dua Zehra.
According to Advocate General (AG) Sindh, the police have helped Dua and her husband Zaheer Ahmed to escape. He requested the court to give directives to DIG Hazara for the recovery of Dua.
According to AG Sindh, the girl is also getting support from lawyers. He added that IG Sindh had assured to bring back Dua. However, Justice Iqbal Kalhoro commented that the Sindh police should have been responsible for recovering the girl rather than blaming each other.
Justice Agha Faisal said that if the girl was recovered by this week, the notice would be withdrawn.
