We are happy to announce that the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), in partnership with the Election Commission of Pakistan, is launching an SMS service that allows those eligible to check their registration status and other information about a polling location. Eligible voters can verify their votes through text messages using your Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) number (without dash) to 8300. Each voter in every province in Pakistan, such as Punjab Sindh KPK Baluchistan, can verify their voter registration with a single SMS. The message that replies will include their name and the electoral zone. The letter also contains the serial numbers of voters registered on the electoral rolls that were initially created.

There are two ways to obtain the information you need:

How do you check your vote via SMS 

Make sure you type in your CNIC without the hyphen (+) and spaces on the mobile. Then transmit it to 8300. You will receive your updated voter list.

Example _ Send it to 8300.

Type Message CNIC Number XXXXXXXXXXX.

How to check voter Registration 

Each registered voter can verify their information by going to their District Election Commissioner’s Office, where the official electoral roll is available. How to register for vote in Pakistan 

The application you can submit together with a copy of your CNIC to the District Election Commissioner (DEC) or Registration Officer/Assistant Register Officer in the district. You wish to have your name added to the electoral roll. The form (Enrolment or transfer of vote) can the download from the ECP website. They are obtain at no cost at the office of the District Election Commissioner/ Registration Officer or the Assistant Registration Officer/Display Center in IN charge.

Eligibility for Voter _

An individual is eligible to register as a voter within an electoral district is

  1. Has citizenship from Pakistan;
  2. less than 18 years old;
  3. Has (c) a National Identity Card issued by the National Database and Registration Authority anytime up to the date that has been set for the solicitation of claims, objections, or applications for the preparation or revision of electoral rolls.
  4. Does not recognize by a court of competent jurisdiction to be in a state of mind or unsound.
  5. The consider by section 27 as a resident within the electoral zone.
