Google Meet releases 360-degree virtual backgrounds for video conferencing

Popular video conferencing platform Google Meet has now introduced a new feature for video calls. In the new update, users can make 360-degree virtual background video calls on mobile. The technology uses the inbuilt gyroscope to move along with the movement of the user.

The background will keep changing positions by following the direction of the device. It will depend on how often the user changes their position. According to the announcement made by Google, there were hundreds of new 360-degree backgrounds available for online conferencing.

Google has been working on the video calling feature to make it more interesting and fun. Last month, Google Meet released emoji reactions. With the help of heart, thumbs-up, party popper, clap, thinking, cry, and thumbs-down emoji, the calling experience became more interactive.
