‘Game recognises game’; Babar Azam sends out a tweet in support of arch-rival Virat Kohli

Pakistan’s superstar cricketer Babar Azam took the social media by storm on Thursday night when he sent out a tweet supporting his arch-rival, Virat Kohli. The latter has been struggling with his batting form of late.

Kohli, who is regarded as one of the modern great batters, hasn’t scored an international century for last three years. His dip in form has raised many an eyebrow. But, Pakistan’s all-format captain Babar has thrown his weight behind the former Indian skipper, sharing a picture of him with Kohli with the caption that reads: “This too shall pass. Stay strong”.

The tweet got mixed reactions from the users with a certain faction of fans and journalists calling the tweet unnecessary. However, a large number of fans appreciated the gesture.
