Earthquake jolts parts of KP

PESHAWAR: On Wednesday, different cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were hit with a 5.0 magnitude of earthquake. The earthquake was confirmed by the National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC).

According to NSMC, a 5.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded on the Richter scale. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s cities including South Waziristan, Swabi, Kohat, Dir, Mohmand, Mingora, Swat, and Malakand, were struck by the natural disaster.

The earthquake had originated from the Hindu Kush region, having a 175 kilometres depth.
