LAHORE: As reported by The Upcut, Maryam Nawaz has flown to London to meet her father – Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif – who has been there since 2019 on medical grounds. Maryam was only able to fly after her passport was returned to her yesterday.
Maryam’s passport had been withheld for three years before the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) told the court that they did not need it any longer. She had surrendered it to the court to secure a post arrest bail in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.
Before she boarded the plane, Maryam said that she was eager to meet her father. It is speculated that Maryam will have detailed political discussions with her father and is expected to return to the country on November 6.
