DG ISPR rejects fallacious remarks by Indian army on AJK

Director General of Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar has strongly condemned the statement of the Indian military officer regarding Azad Kashmir and termed them as fallacious statements. In a series of Tweets, he said that claims made by a senior army officer of the Indian armed forces about Jammu and Kashmir reflect a delusional mindset. A few days ago, Lt. Gen. Upinder Dwivedi, Head of the Northern Command of the Indian Army, claimed that 300 terrorists are present in Jammu and Kashmir while 160 are on the other side of the LoC.

General Babar Iftikhar replied that the baseless allegations of launch pads and terrorists are an attempt to divert attention from the oppressive use of force by the Indian Army in Kashmir and to cover up human rights violations. He added that Pakistan supports the right of Kashmiris to self-determination under international law.

DG ISPR further added that Pakistan Army supports regional peace and stability but its desire for peace should not be taken as a weakness. He clearly stated the message that the Pak army is prepared to thwart any act of aggression against the motherland.
