Crime rate in Karachi increases; Security forces initiate operations against criminals

The crime rate in Karachi has gotten out of hand as robbers, mobile snatchers, and thieves are openly looting citizens of Karachi. In Gulshan-e-Iqbal, armed robbers robbed more than 20 citizens at a tea hotel in front of a police station.

The faces of the robbers are clearly visible in the CCTV footage. Similarly, a medical store near North Nazimabad was robbed. The robbers fled after depriving citizens of cash, mobile phones and other valuables.

The surge in crime rate has pushed police and rangers to carry out operations against criminals. Rangers arrested two robbers from Landhi, where they recovered weapons and a motorcycle used in the criminal activities. In another operation, police arrested an accused near Korangi Nasir Jump. The security forces also arrested two alleged robbers near Super Highway Faqira Goth.
