Covid positivity rate drops to 2pc in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: According to the latest numbers shared by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on March 6, the country reported a decline in the overall Covid positivity rate and recorded another seven more fatalities.

The NCOC took to Twitter here on Sunday morning and reported the latest numbers. Of the total 37,661 tests conducted, 755 people tested positive for the virus. The number of deaths recorded also came down to seven from 10 a day earlier.

The number of patients on critical care remained at 821. Pakistan had been fighting off the fifth wave of Covid since late December last year. Meanwhile, the NCOC head and Federal Planning Minister Asad Umar tweeted on Monday that Pakistan had vaccinated 100 million citizens with both doses.
