ISLAMABAD: Covid-19 cases continue to rise in Pakistan as the positivity rate stood at 3.5 per cent in the last 24 hours. According to the National Institute of Health (NIH), 15,462 people were tested. As a result, 541 people tested positive for the virus.
Currently, 100 patients are under critical care, and one person died due to Covid-19. The highest positivity rate stood in Sindh with 9.10pc, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 1.35pc, while Punjab had a rate of 1.31pc. In the federal capital, 3.03pc people tested positive for the disease. Azad Kashmir had a positivity rate of 2.88pc.

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has said to pace up the testing in Karachi. The port city has reported a continuous increase in Covid-19 cases. NCOC said it would finalise a strategy for testing after meeting with Federal Minister for Health Abdul Qadir Patel.
