Consecutive flops at Box Office, Akshay Kumar blames himself for failure

One of the most prolific actors of the Bollywood film Industry Akshay Kumar is facing back-to-back setbacks at the Box Office. Some of his recent releases, like Ram Setu, Laxmi, Cuttputlli, Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan, and Raksha Bandhan, failed miserably both among the masses & critics. In a recent interview with an Indian channel, Akshay opened up about the reasons why his films failed to impress.

According to his statement, the situation is not new and had seen times like this. Akshay said that there was a part in his career when he gave consecutive 16 flop films. He added that once his eight films failed in a row. The Welcome actor said that situations like these occur due to your own fault. He believed that the audience has changed and we need to start fresh. Recently, the most anticipated project, Selfiee, also saw shockingly low numbers at theatres.

Akshay Kumar was the first actor to release his film right after the lockdown as Bellbottom became the first major film to hit the theatres post-pandemic. The film did not do wonders, but his next action movie, Sooryawanshi, emerged as the first box-office hit after the Covid-19 restrictions.

Currently, there are some interesting projects in Akshay’s account. Hera Pheri 3 has begun shooting with the original cast, and fans are eagerly waiting for it. On the other hand, Akshay will also have a pivotal role in the next instalment of Oh My God.
