Condolence reference to be held today by PMO for mob lynching victim

Condolence

ISLAMABAD: To share the grief with Priyantha Kumara’s – the murdered Sri Lankan national – family, and the Sri Lankan nation and government, the Prime Minister’s Office has decided to hold a condolence reference today.

The Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) shared the details of the programme in a series of tweets, stating “the condolence reference would also mark the laying of a wreath at the portrait of the slain Sri Lankan national.”

The APP also said that Prime Minister Imran Khan will also attend the condolence reference to Kumara. Members of the federal cabinet and the Sri Lankan High Commissioner in Pakistan are also expected to attend the reference.

A colleague of Kumara, Malik Adnan, will also be in attendance and be recognised for standing up to the mob. Adnan had tried reasoning with the mob only for the latter to not pay heed to what he said and proceeding with the torture and murder of Kumara.
