“Not in a position to host Asia Cup 2022,” says Sri Lanka Cricket Board

The Island nation is already struggling with its energy reserves. With its economy in tatters, the nation’s cricket board has decided that it would be better off without hosting the Asia Cup 2022.

The Asia Cup was played the last time in the United Arab Emirates in 2018. India are currently the reigning champions of the Asia Cup. According to some media reports, UAE is a strong contender to host the Cup this year as well.
