Popular Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has been appointed as a jury member at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. The festival is considered as one of the most prestigious forums to exhibit movies. The official Instagram handle of the festival defined her as an actress who is an active philanthropist and also an entrepreneur. The description added that Deepika has over 30 films to her credit.
Other members of the jury include American director Jeff Nichols, Norwegian director Joachim Trier, French writer Director Ladj Ly, Iranian Director Asghar Farhadi, Italian actress Jasmine Trinca, Swedish Noomi Rapace, and English actress & filmmaker Rebecca Hall.
This year a Pakistani movie Joyland will also be showcased at the festival. The film is a collaborative production of Sarmad Khoosat, Lauren Mann, and Apoorva Guru.
