In yet another unfortunate incident, a bus conductor raped a woman passenger on a Karachi-bound bus. She was travelling from Bhakkar to the metropolitan city.
A first information report (FIR) was lodged on the complaint of the victim by the Jampur police. According to the FIR, the bus conductor of Adil Shah Company raped the victim when he found the passenger alone, who had fallen asleep, while the other passengers had gotten off of the bus for refreshments.
The suspect has been arrested. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has also directed the relevant authorities to ensure that swift justice is accorded to the victim.
