An alleged rape case has been reported in the Karachi branch of a renowned textile company. According to the news reported by different sources, a female employee was asked to stay late after office hours and was drugged, after which she lost consciousness. Allegedly, 20-22 men sexually assaulted her the entire night on the premises of the Human Resource office. The victim tried to leave the office around 6:00 am but passed away outside the building. Other sources claim she was killed during the rape.
After the news broke out, social media was left aghast and called out notable news channels for not reporting the incident. The textile company is silent on the matter and has neither denied the allegations. They have disabled the comments section on their Instagram handle which has increased the suspiciousness.
Some news portals have reported that police found no evidence of rape. However, some people claimed that their friends and family members working in the company have confirmed the incident and were told not to disclose the news.
