After Ramiz Raja, Muhammad Wasim next in line to lose job as Chief Selector

As the federal government has decided to remove the Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Ramiz Raja, the Selection Committee is also on the brink of losing its job. According to the sources, the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination has recommended the dissolution of the current Selection Committee, headed by Muhammad Wasim, along with administrative and constitutional changes in the PCB.

The sources and news reports said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, has approved the summary under which the selection committee will be dissolved right after Ramiz Raja exits as chairman of PCB. After the selection committee is dissolved, an interim selection committee will be formed immediately.

The interim committee will announce the national squad for the home series against New Zealand. As per the latest update, the interim selection committee contains four senior & known players of Pakistan cricket.
