ISLAMABAD: According to the details shared by the Afghanistan foreign ministry, a senior Afghan delegation, under the supervision of Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Mutaqqi is expected to land in Islamabad tomorrow. The announcement was made on Tuesday.

Abdul Qahar Balkhi announced on Twitter that the delegation would land in Islamabad on November 10. He also said that the two countries will discuss how the bilateral ties could be improved, apart from discussing other things such as economy, transit, refugees and expanding facilities for the movement of people.

The visit comes shortly after Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi invited his Afghan counterpart on his visit to Kabul last month. This will be the first official visit by any Afghan minister to Pakistan ever since the Taliban toppled the Ghani-government and took over the reins of the country in August.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s ambassador to Afghanistan Mansoor Ahmad Khan had also tweeted the details on Sunday evening about his meeting and discussions with Mutaqqi.
