ACE fails to arrest Rana Sanaullah amid non-cooperation from Islamabad police

The Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) were unable to arrest Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah. According to the officials of ACE, the Islamabad police showed non-cooperative behaviour, due to which they had to return empty-handed.

Earlier, the Rawalpindi court directed to arrest Sanaullah in the case of purchasing plots at a throwaway rate. Retired Brigadier Musaddiq Abbasi claimed that the Interior Minister had received two plots as a bribe in the Bismillah Housing Scheme situated at Chakwal. The orders to arrest Sanaullah and bring him to court were given by the special judicial magistrate of Rawalpindi.

The Director of ACE Punjab, Syed Anwar Ali Shah, said that their automobiles were not allowed to enter the police station and would brief the court about the details tomorrow.
