Abbasi advises govt to dissolve NAB

ISLAMABAD: Speaking to the media, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that he had advised the government to do away with the National Accountability Bureau and bring its employees to justice.

He accused the NAB officials of plundering the people and torturing them. “It is time that they be held accountable,” said a visibly irked Abbasi. He did not shy away from naming the NAB chief, calling him a puppet of former prime minister Imran Khan.

He went on to accuse a cabinet member of Khan government without naming anyone, stating that the said member would direct the NAB chairman to initiate fake cases against people and apprehend them. He also accused the NAB chairman of keeping mum over Khan’s alleged corruption.
