KARACHI: Pakistani movie Zindagi Tamasha, which has had to face several hurdles in its release, has re-released its trailer on YouTube. The film will release on March 18 next year.
Written by Kanwal Khoosat, the film was scheduled to release in January 2020, but Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP), called the film sacrilegious and demanded a ban on the movie. Director Sarmad Khoosat then took his case to Lahore court, where he filed a petition against the TLP.
The petition explained how the film sends a positive message to society. The censor boards have already cleared the film.
The Human Rights Committee of the Senate dismissed all the claims and objections made against the film. The movie was allowed for screening in July 2020. The film stars Ali Kureshi, Samiya Mumtaz, Eman Suleman and Arif Hassan.
