Zero tolerance for terrorism, says PM Imran

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has said that it was the need of the hour to bring the terrorists to justice promptly, adding that the government had ‘zero tolerance’ for terrorism. The comments came at the occasion of the apex meeting of the National Action Plan (NAP).

The prime minister pressed for a multi-faceted approach and strict implementation of the security plan to mitigate the threat of terrorism in the country. The meeting was attended by the top brass of the civil-military leadership.

The cowardly terrorist attack on a Shia Mosque that resulted in the deaths of 62 Shia Muslims was condemned by one and all at the meeting. Mr Khan underlined the need of preemptive measures to foil any such attempts in future. He said that the nation was on the same page regarding getting rid of terrorism, adding that terrorists would never succeed in their attempts of destabilising Pakistan.
