YouTube has decided to discontinue its low-cost subscription plan – Premium Lite after two years. This means that after October 25, YouTube Premium Lite will no longer be offered. It was a low-cost plan, first offered for £6.99 in select European countries.
The plan was aimed to provide subscribers with an ad-free viewing experience. However, the Premium version lacked features like YouTube Music benefits, offline downloads, and background playback. With the discontinuation of Premium Lite, users can switch to pricier YouTube Premium which also includes YouTube Music or to the regular YouTube app.
