The founder of Xiaomi phones, Lei Jun, has the ambitions of going ahead of Apple in the smartphone market. He also stated that Xiaomi would provide a better product and user experience and hence would create a challenge for Apple.
Apple has been the leading smartphone brand and is filling up the void after the downfall of Huawei by taking up the major share of the market. Lei said that the competition had become a matter of life & death, and therefore the company had to surpass others to succeed.
The Chinese brand has been actively filling the gap created after Huawei stepped back. By 2025, Xiaomi wants to become the leading cellular mobile brand. Although there is tough competition from Samsung and Apple, Xiaomi has also started to gain popularity in the European market.
