Wildfire of Californio starts spreading to central mountains

A wildfire that erupted in California, called the Mosquito Fire, has started to spread across the central mountains of the US. In a period of four days, the fire has spread to Sierra Nevada range. The firefighters said that after a week of blistering heat, the temperature has cooled down which slowed the progress of the fire.

However, the storing wind system is pushing the fire to the north and northeast areas. Hundreds of homes are under the threat of the fast-spreading fire.

Authorities said that the evacuation process was underway. The ground staff is receiving support from Aeroplanes and helicopters. Officials reported that around 20 buildings were destroyed, and two people lost their lives. The overgrown and parched areas in the countryside have created conditions for destructive wildfires.
