Hoping to grow the bilateral trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan, the federal cabinet has decided to relax the visa policies for Afghans intending on entering and staying in Pakistan.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was presiding the federal cabinet’s meeting on Tuesday.
Authorities have been directed by the premier to issue multiple-entry visa of up to six months to Afghan transporters. He has also urged the Pakistan embassies to not take the country of origin into consideration while issuing visa to Afghans, but to consider their current nationality.
It was also decided to introduce a sub-category in the work visa while applying through the online visa system. The interior ministry has been given a free hand to extend the multiple-visa of six months up to one year.
