ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Maryam Nawaz, while addressing a press conference, said that former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar has to answer that under whose pressure he gave the verdict against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
She said that the decision against Sharif was unfair, and the judicial intervention would be counted as the ‘fifth testimony’ favouring the former prime minister.
She further added that a well-known US company, after forensic investigation, has declared the audio clip to be untampered, but some channels are running propaganda against the said company by saying that the audio clip was a combination of different sentences spoken by Nisar on various occasions.
“I want to tell Saqib Nisar that he will have to tell the nation the truth. Who forced you to convict Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz? Who asked you to bring Imran Khan [into power]?” said the PML-N leader.
Maryam questioned the proceedings on the Pandora box case and said that no joint investigation team (JIT) had been formed to investigate the accused in the Pandora box case, whereas the judicial authorities had ordered the formation of a JIT to investigate the assets of the Sharif family.
